According to the Plan, the commemorative activities aim to promote patriotism and the Vietnamese tradition of gratitude embodied in the principle of “Remembering the Source While Drinking Water”; pay tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of martyrs, war invalids, sick soldiers, and other people who rendered meritorious services to the revolution; and mobilize social resources to improve the material and spiritual well-being of beneficiaries of preferential policies and families of martyrs. The province strives to ensure that 100 percent of households of people with meritorious services enjoy living standards equal to or higher than the average level in their local communities.
From 2026 to 2027, Bac Ninh will continue to fully and promptly implement preferential policies for people with meritorious services to the revolution. Key activities include enhancing communication and public awareness campaigns through mass media and digital platforms; implementing support policies in a timely manner; mobilizing contributions to the “Gratitude Fund”; renovating and upgrading martyrs’ memorial facilities and the Bac Ninh Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation of People with Meritorious Services; and supporting the construction and repair of houses for disadvantaged beneficiaries.
On the occasion of the 79th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day in 2026, the province will organize delegations of provincial leaders to pay tribute at martyrs’ cemeteries and memorial sites both within and outside the province. Other activities will include candle-lighting ceremonies at martyrs’ cemeteries, visits and gift presentations to people with meritorious services and families of martyrs, the collection of DNA samples from relatives of unidentified martyrs, and the launch of the “500-Day Campaign for the Search, Recovery and Identification of Martyrs’ Remains.”
In 2027, Bac Ninh will organize a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day and honor exemplary individuals with meritorious services to the revolution. The event is expected to take place in July 2027. The province will also hold a range of commemorative activities, including incense-offering ceremonies, candle-lighting tributes, art performances, intensive communication campaigns, and gratitude movements across the province.
Through these activities, Bac Ninh reaffirms its responsibility, affection, and profound gratitude toward those who have rendered meritorious services to the revolution, while helping to promote the nation’s noble traditions and strengthen the great national unity bloc.
