(BNP)- The Steering Committee for Population, AIDS and Social Issues of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just issued Document No. 3109/BVHTTDL-BCDDS requesting affiliated agencies and units to strengthen the deployment of the Action Month for Drug Prevention and Control 2026.
Accordingly, the units will promote the integration of drug prevention and control propaganda contents into cultural, family, sports, tourism, press, publishing, broadcasting, television, electronic information, and grassroots information activities. The propaganda work is carried out through cultural and artistic programs, exhibitions, creation contests, and tourism promotion activities in order to raise awareness and sense of law compliance on drug prevention and control among the public.
The Ministry also requested the enhancement of drug prevention and control education in schools; and the promotion of the coordinating role among families, schools, local authorities, and mass organizations in drug prevention.
Press and communication management units are assigned to promote propaganda on Conclusion No. 132-KL/TW of the Politburo, Resolution No. 93/NQ-CP of the Government, and directives on building drug-free communes, wards, and special zones. The central message of this year's Action Month is "Together with one determination to build drug-free communes, wards, and special zones".
In addition, press agencies under the Ministry are requested to increase the duration and frequency of information, diversify communication forms, and at the same time strengthen the monitoring and handling of untruthful information in the network environment related to drug prevention and control./.
