Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son congratulates press agencies in province on 101st anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day

(BNP) - On the occasion of the 101st anniversary of Vietnam's Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2026), on the afternoon of June 17, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Mai Son visited and presented flowers to congratulate Bac Ninh Newspaper, Radio and Television and the Provincial Journalists Association.

At the meeting, leaders of Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio-Television Station reported that after one year of organizational restructuring and streamlining, the agency had gradually stabilized its operations and improved the quality of its activities. The agency currently comprises a Board of Directors and eight specialized divisions with a workforce of 234 officials, employees, and workers. It continues to effectively operate across print, online, radio, and television platforms, providing timely coverage of the province’s political, economic, and social affairs.

In the first six months of 2026, the agency focused on publicizing important political, economic, and social events such as the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term, land clearance work for the Gia Binh International Airport Project, Ring Road 4, as well as major holidays and many typical cultural events in the province.

On behalf of the provincial leadership, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son extended his best wishes to journalists, editors, technicians, association members, and all media professionals in the province. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the important contributions of Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio-Television Station in information dissemination, public communication, guiding public opinion, fostering social consensus, and effectively serving the province’s political objectives.

Speaking at the meeting, the Standing Vice Chairman emphasized that the press plays a vital role on the ideological and cultural front, serving as a bridge between the Party, government, and the people. He called on Bac Ninh Newspaper and Radio-Television Station to continue strengthening its role as an official and reliable source of information, while innovating journalistic practices, improving content quality, promoting positive values, and contributing to public trust and aspirations for development.

During his visit to the Bac Ninh Journalists Association, Standing Vice Chairman Mai Son commended the Association’s achievements, particularly its success in bringing together nearly 400 members, organizing the First Congress of the Bac Ninh Journalists Association for the 2026–2031 term, and consolidating its leadership structure.

Visiting and congratulating the Provincial Journalists Association on the occasion of the Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day on June 21st, the Standing Vice Chairman acknowledged and praised the Association's achievements in the past period, especially the gathering of nearly 400 members, the successful organization of the First Congress of the Bac Ninh Provincial Journalists Association, term 2026-2031, and the consolidation of the Association's leadership.

He urged the Association to continue aligning its activities with the province’s political priorities and the orientation of the Vietnam Journalists Association, while further innovating its content and operational methods. He also emphasized the importance of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members, strengthening professional responsibility, effectively implementing the Resolution of the First Congress, expanding membership, and promoting training, professional exchanges, and cultural and sports activities to foster a united and capable journalism community.

The attention and encouragement from the provincial leadership is a source of inspiration for the journalists of Bac Ninh to continue innovating, creating, and improving the quality of journalistic works, contributing to the development of the province and the goal of building Bac Ninh into a centrally-governed city before 2030.
