Chairman of Provincial Peoples’s Committee recieves and works with leaders of Sembcorp Group (Singapore)
In the afternoon of June 14th 2017, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) received and worked with Mr. Neil Mc Gregor, President of Sembcorp Group, CEO of Sembcorp Industries.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the PPC Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh congratulated Mr.McGregor on his new position. At the meeting, the Chairman had a brief on socio-economic development of the province in recent years. Thanks to favorable geographical position, synchronous infrastructure and improved business environment, especially being with the business of the province’s leaders, in the first five months, Bac Ninh ranked on top of the whole country in terms of attracting foreign investment, which is worth USD 2.76 billion, accounting for 22.7% of the total investment capital of the whole country. Until now, Bac Ninh has nearly 1,000 foreign direct investment projects, in which there are more than 700 projects located in the industrial parks with a total registered capital of over $14.2 billion.
Chairman of the PPC affirmed that VSIP is a big brand for developing modern, environmentally friendly Industrial Park. Bac Ninh province committed to always be with and facilitate businesses to invest and develop in the province. He proposed the Group to focus on the urban area in VSIP Industrial Park (Tu Son Town), would carry out soon VSIP II project in Yen Phong under agreement between the PPC and the Group at the same time.
Mr. Neil McGregor thanked the Chairman of the PPC for the warm welcome and his useful information. On the other hand, he always considered VSIP as close friend of Bac Ninh and expressed his belief in the cooperation between the two sides that would make great strides in the coming time. Nowadays, VSIP Bac Ninh attracts 83 investors from many countries and territories with a 95% occupancy of area and relsoves over 21,000 employees per year.
For committing to long-term investment in the province, the Group expected Bac Ninh province to continue to actively support businesses, create a good business comunity in Bac Ninh. After receiving comments from the Chairman of the PPC, the Group would soon make decisions on investment promotion of the VSIP II industrial Park.
