Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People’s Committee receives and works with Korean delegation
In the morning of November 17th, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh, Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee received and worked with Gyeonggi delegation exploring opportunities for investment cooperation of Korean enterprises in Bac Ninh. Attending at the meeting were the leaders of People’s Committee Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Finance, Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Department of Construction, Department of Tax and Industrial Zone Authority.
Addressing at the meeting, Mr. In Chul Jung, Former Secretary of President of the Republic of Korea, Chairman of KOVICON Group, appreciated the Vice Chairman for his time on receiving the delegation, as well as made a brief introduction about Gyeonggi province and Korean enterprises visiting Vietnam on this occasion. He also hoped that with mutual aspects, both two provinces would have opportunities to learn the experiences of developing smart city, as well as cooperated to enable Korean enterprises to promote hi-tech industrial projects in the province in the near future.

On behalf of the leaders of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh expressed his gratitude to Mr. In Chul Jung for introducing Korean businesses to explore investment opportunities in the province and highly valued the idea of establishment a hi-tech industrial zone joint venture between enterprises of two provinces.
The Vice Chairman also shared overview of the achievements in socio-economic development of the province in the past few years. Thanks to the favorable location and attractive preferential policies, Bac Ninh is one of the fast growing rate provinces with many indicators on the top of the whole country, notably the FDI attraction of over 1,000 projects with total registered capital of USD 16.3 billion. For Korea in particular, there have been approximately 600 enterprises investing in Bac Ninh, including many big enterprises such as Samsung, Orion, Daewoo, Flexcom, Intops., etc…
The Vice Chairman hoped that with the prestige of Mr. In, he would serve as a bridge to introduce the images and investment environment of Bac Ninh to the businesses and big investors of Gyeonggi province in particular, and Korea in general, contributing to promote the provincial socio-economic development. He affirmed that with the motto "Bac Ninh always accompanies the enterprises, the success of enterprises is also the success of the province", Bac Ninh has welcomed and facilitated Korean enterprises to investigate and invest in the province, especially those producing hi-tech products with high investment capital./.
