Secretary of Provincial Party Committee received General Director of Samsung Vietnam
In the afternoon of 21st August 2017, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Head of Provincial Delegation of National Assembly Members received Mr. Shim Won Hwan, General Director of Samsung Vietnam. Attending the meeting were Mr. Nguyen Huu Quat, Standing Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the PPC, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and Members of Standing Committee: Mrs. Nguyen Huong Giang, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Tien Nhuong, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee; Mr. Ha Sy Tiep, Chairman of Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and leaders of Departments of: Construction, Planning and Investment, Natural Resources and Environment, Foreign Affairs, Tax, Customs, Industrial Zone Authority, and PPC Office.
Provincial leaders gave souvenirs to the delegation of Samsung Vietnam
At the meeting, Mr. Shim Won Hwan, General Director of Samsung Vietnam (including SEV, SDV, SDI) congratulated 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution Commemoration Day and Independence Day of Vietnam. He also expressed his pride of Samsung’s contribution to the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh over the past 9 years.
Up to present, total investment of Samsung Corporation in Bac Ninh has been $6.5 billion. With affiliated companies, Samsung Vietnam has created jobs for over 100,000 employees in Bac Ninh and neighboring provinces. In 2016, Samsung paid nearly VND 2,800 billion into the budget. He affirmed that this outcome was thank to the close and effective cooperation between both sides since Samsung had conducted investment surve. Mr. Shim Won Hwan also hoped to continue being supported and cooperated from provincial leaders in order that Samsung Corporation will grow and contribute more to the development of locality.
Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien showed his gratitude and affirmed the good relationship between Samsung Corporation and Bac Ninh, as well as appreciated the role of Corporation in Bac Ninh over the past time. Until now, after more than 20 years of re-establishment, Bac Ninh has become basically an industrial province in the direction of modernization having a dynamic economic structure with 95% share of the construction industry and services; and being a center of electronics industry in the country. The Secretary also affirmed that Bac Ninh would always accompany in all activities with businesses in general, as well as Samsung Vietnam in particular. He hoped that in the near future, the General Director of Samsung Vietnam, Mr. Shim Won Hwan would continue strengthening the friendship, solidarity, cooperation and contributing to the socio-economic development of the province./.
