Chairman of Provincal People’s Committee (PPC) receives and works with Delegation of Gumi University (Korea)
In the afternoon of January 17th 2017, Mr.Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of PPC had a meeting with delegation of Gumi University (Korea) on the establishment of Gumi – Viglacera International College in Bac Ninh. Attending the meeting were leaders of PPC Office, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Education and Training, Industrial Zones Authority and Department of Foreign Affairs.
Firstly, Mr. Jeong Chang Joo, President of Gumi University thanked Mr.Chairman for welcome the delegation and brief on his university. Accordingly, The Gumi University is located in Gumi city (Korea) with scale of 30 faculties and about 5,000 students trained per year. It is one of the leading universities and colleges of Korea, has continuously ranked in the list of universities which has the highest percentage of students finding jobs after graduation in the country. In addition, it is also where trains over 10,000 staffs and workers for Samsung.
Representative of the Gumi University also showed his hope to co-operate with Viglacera Vocational College to build up Gumi – Viglacera International College in Bac Ninh with the aim of providing good human sources for Korean companies in the province.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr.Chairman stressed his pleasure that Gumi University has chosen Bac Ninh for investing in educational field, where is one of the leading provinces in investment attracting and economic development with nearly 1,000 FDI projects from 31 countries and territories, including more than 400 projects from Korea, such as Sam Sung, Hanwha, Orion, etc where are required high-quality human resources and international standards. Besides, Bac Ninh also has a rich culture and tradition, and has always focused on education that proved by the leading result of national high school examinations and examinations for excellent students, etc.
Chairman appreciated the cooperation model between the Gumi University and the Viglacera Vocational College. This co-operative model promises to meet the demand for high-quality human resources for businesses in the province in particular and raising the quality of education and training of Bac Ninh in general. Chairman also pledged to facilitate the project for effective deployment in the near future./.
