Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) receives and works with Cargill Vietnam
In the morning of January 6th 2017, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of PPC received and worked with Mr. Jorge Alberto Becerra Illingworth – General Director of Cargill Vietnam Co. Ltd (Cargill Group), who is going to invest in Bac Ninh. Attending the meeting were leaders of PPC Office, Department of Foreign Affairs, and Industrial Zones Authority.
Firstly, Mr. Jorge Alberto expressed his gratitude to provincial leaders for warm welcome and then, introduced Cargill Group. Accordingly, Cargill is a leading private group of USA in various fields such as agriculture, food, industrial products, and financial services as well. To date, the Group has built 11 feed factories in Vietnam. Therefore, Cargill is planning to expand its production to Bac Ninh, investing in the feed factory at Que Vo 3 Industrial Park with a total investment of about 60 million USD, the capacity of 70,000 tons per month by the most modern and advanced technological lines, which is environmentally friendly.

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Mr. Chairman Nguyen Tu Quynh introduced an overview of outstanding achievements in socio-economic development of the province recently. Thank to favorable geographical location and attractive incentives, Bac Ninh is one of the most developed provinces with many top leading indicators in whole nation. Nowadays, the province has totally more than 935 FDI projects from over 29 countries and territories with a total registered capital of about 12.3 billion USD.
Acknowledgement given to Cargill Group for the desire to invest in Bac Ninh, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh assigned Industrial Zone Authority to work with relevant agencies for consideration and maximum facilitation to Cargill on the basis of ensuring compliance with the law, environmental conditions, and positive contributions to socio-economic development of the province.
