Secretary of Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) welcomed and worked with delegation of Korean Samsung Display
In the afternoon of February 14th 2017, the leaders of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People’s Committee had a working session with the delegation of Korean Samsung Display led by Choi Kwon Young, Deputy General Director At headquarter of Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Nhan Chien, Member of Party Central Committee, Secretary of Provincial Party Committee had a close reception.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Secretary thanked Mr. Choi Kwon Young and the leaders of the Group for believing to invest the project of Samsung Display in Bac Ninh. He was pleased to announce that Prime Minister had allowed Samsung Display to extend investing $2.5 billion in Yen Phong Industrial Zone. Secretary of Party Committee hoped that, in the future, Mr. Choi Kwon Young, on his new position, would lead the Korean Samsung Display to be more and more developed and continue to introduce more Korean enterprises to invest in Bac Ninh with the motto of “The success of business is the success of the province”. Bac Ninh would facilitate companies of Samsung to operate effectively.
Mr. Choi Kwon Young, Deputy General Director of Korean Samsung Display thanked the provincial leaders for their helps for businesses to invest and operate conveniently in Bac Ninh. He confirmed that technology used currently by of Samsung Display in Bac Ninh is the highest one of the Group specializing in screen manufacturing. The goal of long term investing and the production of large scale in the view of mutual benefit would contribute to a lot to the province. For trust in abundant, intelligent, hardworking, high-tech human resources, and the attention and assistance of the provincial leaders, Samsung Display Co. Ltd would continue to thrive and contribute more strongly to Bac Ninh province and Vietnam.

In the same day, at headquarter of the PPC, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of PPC Nguyen Tu Quynh also met and worked with Mr. Choi Kwon Young, Deputy General Director of Korean Samsung Display. Attending this meeting were leaders of PPC Office, Department of Foreign Affairs and Industrial Zones Authority.
At the meeting, Mr. Choi Kwon Young expressed his pride of seeing the economic development of Bac Ninh in recent years, which was greatly contributed by Samsung Group. Through survey in many countries all around the world, he estimated that Bac Ninh had good investing environment, promised Samsung Group would extend to invest, attract many satellite companies in the future. Deputy General Director of Korean Samsung Display also believed that for the rapid development of Bac Ninh as well as their best effort of the leadership and people of the province, Bac Ninh would soon become the symbol of the strong movement in industrial high-tech area in particular and in the creative economy of ASEAN and Asia in general.
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of PPC announced the general result of the visit of the Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to Samsung Display in Yen Phong Industrial Zone on February 12th 2017 and the Prime Minister approved the extending policy, which invests additionally $2.5 billion to Samsung Display in Yen Phong Industrial Zone. For the brand in the world as well as good relations between Bac Ninh and Samsung Group, Chairman of PPC expected Samsung Display would promote investment in locality, contribute in making Bac Ninh to become one of the electronic centers of Asia./.
