Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee receives and works with delegation of Japanese enterprises
In the afternoon of August 1st 2017, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh – Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) received and worked with delegation of Japanese enterprises led by Mr. Orgiwara in exploring business cooperation opportunities in Bac Ninh. Attending the meeting were leaders of Departments: Agriculture and Rural Development, Sciences & Technology, Planning & Investment, Foreign Affairs, Provincial Farmers Association, Provincial Gardening Association.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Tu Quynh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, the Chairman of the PPC highly appreciated the interest of the delegation in exploring business opportunities and introduced the socio- economic situation of the province for recent years. Bac Ninh is currently the sixth-largest economy in the whole nation, ranking the second in terms of industrial output and export value and in the top 10 in terms of state revenue.
For favorable geographic position, synchronous infrastructure and continuously improved business environment, especially with accompanying the enterprises of provincial leaders, Bac Ninh is leading the country in terms of attracting foreign investment, the value reached USD 2.76 billion, accounting for 22.7% of the total investment capital of the whole country in the first 6 months. Particularly, Japan has had 76 projects with about USD 1.3 billion of registered capital. In 2017, the province had successfully organized a series of events such as Cherry Blossom Exhibition and Japanese Business Meeting; Cherry tree planting ceremony (March 2017). The Chairman of the PPC wished to continue receiving much more investment and cooperation from Japanese enterprises to contribute to Bac Ninh's economic development.
Mr. Ogiwara Daisuke introduced enterprises of the delegation including: Origawa company specializing in mushroom production on corn bran, having the largest mushroom market in Japan; Daimasa Engineering company specializing in solar power, biomass electricity; Raycean company specializing in education and training. At present, through Lucavi Co., Japanese enterprises plan to implement a number of extended projects in the fields of agriculture, energy and education in Vietnam, especially Bac Ninh.
The Chairman affirmed that Bac Ninh would commit to accompany enterprises, be ready to facilitate them to invest and develop in the province. At the meeting, he assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Planning and Investment, the Provincial Farmers Association in collaboration with Ogiwara Company, Lucavi Co., Ltd to research and implement projects./.
