Trade Union of Department of Foreign Affairs: Celebrating International Women's Day (March 8th)
In the afternoon of March 7th 2017, the Trade Union of Department of Foreign Affairs (DOFA) organized the 107th anniversary of the International Women's Day (08/3/1910 - 08/3/2017) and 1977 years of Hai Ba Trung’s revolution (40 - 2017). It was considered as a chance to review the glorious history and to honor, preserve the traditional values of Vietnamese women with golden words “Heroism, determination, faithfulness, resourcefulness”. Besides, it aimed to praise achievements of female leaders, officials and employees of DOFA.
Attending the anniversary were Mr. Tran Ngoc Thuc, Secretary of Party Cell, Director of the DOFA and all leaders, officials and employees of the Department.
At the beginning of the anniversary, Mr. Nguyen The Son - Deputy Director of the Department, Chairman of the Department’s Trade Union had a speech on the brave and heroic history of the International Women's Day, revolution of Hai Ba Trung as well as the traditions of Vietnamese women. By inheriting and promoting the precious traditions of Vietnamese women, female members of the Department’s Trade Union had always been active in all activities, successfully completed the assigned tasks, contributing to the general success of the DOFA.

For affirming the great role and responsibility of women in the Renovation period, Mr. Tran Ngoc Thuc, Secretary of the Party Cell, Director of the Department gave flowers and best wishes to the female leaders, officials and employees of the Department, he also believed in their efforts to be beautiful flowers adorning the good life of everyone, every home and the country’s spring./.
